Agents
Configuring the agents that listen to conversations and act on your behalf.
An agent is the configured participant that joins a session: what it listens for, what knowledge it draws on, and how it's allowed to behave once it's in a conversation.
What you configure
Configuration covers the agent's identity and operating mode, including whether it stays passive, answers when asked, or actively participates. It covers which knowledge stores and entity types it's attached to, which is what lets it understand context specific to your organization instead of generic conversation. It covers what it can reach beyond the conversation itself, through Skills and Tools. It covers which signals it should be watching for while it runs. And for agents that take or place voice calls, it covers the phone numbers they answer or dial from.
Publishing
An agent isn't available to be picked in a session until it's published. Unpublished changes let you iterate on configuration without affecting conversations already running against the live version.
Where this is managed
Agent configuration lives in the console under Agents, where the screen for everything above actually lives. This page covers the concept; that one covers the fields.
