Voice & Calls

How Auron joins, listens to and acts on live voice conversations.

Voice is one of two ways an agent joins a live session, alongside video meetings: a call in, a call out, or an agent dialed into a bridge, with the same transcript-and-detection pipeline running underneath as any other meeting.

How a call reaches Auron

Calls run over telephony infrastructure (Auron connects through providers including Telnyx and Twilio), which handles the actual phone network leg while Auron's realtime bridge streams audio in both directions. The agent transcribes what's said and can speak back with no separate recording-then-processing step.

Inbound and outbound

An inbound call is someone calling a number an agent is assigned to, and the agent answers directly into a session. An outbound call is Auron placing the call on your behalf, either one at a time or as part of an outbound campaign run against a list of records.

Operating modes

During a call, an agent runs in one of a few modes: staying silent and only transcribing, answering when asked, actively probing, or synthesizing what's been agreed. The mode can be changed mid-call. What each mode does is documented against the surface you're using; see voice calls on mobile for the phone behavior.

What comes out of a call

Same as any other session: a transcript, whatever signals were detected, and any artefacts or reports generated once it ends.
