The four tabs
The tabs name reasons to look rather than kinds of record.

Actions is the one to check when you have thirty seconds. It is empty most of the time and says so, and when it is not empty, everything in it is waiting on you.
Insights is a fixed set of charts rather than a filter on the stream, so it does not scroll forever and has nothing to like or comment on. See Insights.
Pinned items float to the top of All only. Pinning is an All-tab idea: the point of Actions and Threads is that they are already narrow.
Writing a post
The action button in the top bar of Home opens the composer. Under the body text sits a row of chips for everything you can add:

Each chip shows a count while something is staged, and a spinner while it uploads. Attachments are held on the phone while you write and only uploaded when you post, so abandoning a draft costs nothing.
You can edit a post after publishing it, including its attachments.
Drafts
An unfinished post is kept on the phone, saved about half a second after you stop typing. Come back to the composer and it is waiting, with a "Draft restored" line and a Discard button.
Leaving the composer with something written in it asks first, whether you tap the close button, swipe back, or use the Android back button. Three choices: keep editing, save it as a draft, or discard it.
Attachments are not part of the draft, so a restored draft has its text, audience and poll but you will need to pick photos and files again. A draft is kept for seven days. Drafts live on the device rather than on the server, so one written on the phone is not waiting in the web console.
Audience
The line under your name sets who sees the post. Three choices: everyone in the organization, selected teams, or selected members. The lists only offer teams you belong to and people in your organization, so you cannot address a group you are not part of.
Polls
A poll is a question with two or more options, and can allow more than one answer. There are two shapes: a poll with a running tally, or a set of buttons.
Polls are posts, so they live in Threads with everything else people wrote.
Approval requests
When an automation needs a person to decide something, it posts a card with Approve and a Reject button, and no tally. Once it is resolved, whether by you, by a colleague, or by the automation itself timing out, the card replaces the buttons with Approved, Rejected or Expired.
Approvals are what Actions contains, and answering one takes it off that tab.
The same approval can be answered from the feed, from the card's own screen, from the automation, or from its run. Answering it in one place resolves it everywhere.

Updates from Auron
Auron writes a card into the feed in two cases: an automation with a Post to feed step, which is a step someone configured precisely so that it lands here, and an export finishing. Tapping one opens what it is about.
Everything else Auron does in the background reaches the one person it concerns, through the bell. A report you asked for, a voice note you recorded, an import you ran: those are notifications, not feed cards, because they are news to you and noise to everybody else. See Notifications.
Work that leaves a trace somewhere better does not announce itself at all. Calls are in History, signals are on the session and on the record, and what an automation has been doing is on its own Activity tab.
The person who posted
The name and photo at the top of a post open that person's profile, where you can see their bio, the organizations you share, and their role in each. Cards written by Auron have no author to open.
Liking and commenting
Every item can be liked, and commented on. The card shows the latest few comments underneath, and the full thread and the list of likes both load more as you scroll. Owners and admins can pin an item so it stays at the top.
Mentioning someone
Type @ while writing a post, a comment or a reply and a list of people and teams slides in above the keyboard. Tapping one drops their name into the text. Once posted the name reads in blue, and tapping a mentioned person opens their profile. Team mentions are styled the same but do not open anything.
The list only offers people who can already see the post. A post addressed to selected teams offers those teams and their members; one addressed to selected members offers exactly those people and no teams. Mentioning someone never gives them access to a post they could not already open.
Mentioning a team notifies every active member of it.
Being mentioned sends a notification and subscribes you to the post, so later comments on it reach you too. Replies inside a thread only reach the person being replied to.
Editing a post to fix a typo does not re-notify the people already named in it. Add a new name in an edit and only that person hears about it.
Who can do what
Owners, admins and users can post and mention. Pinning, and editing or removing someone else's post, is limited to owners and admins. Guests can read the feed but not post to it. See Roles and access.
