Notifications

The in-app inbox behind the bell, push notifications, and what each kind is telling you.

Two systems run side by side: an inbox inside the app, and push notifications on your lock screen. The inbox is the full record; push is the interruption.

The inbox

The bell sits in the top bar of every tab, so notifications are one tap away wherever you are. There is no notifications row in the menu.

Inside, notifications are grouped into Today, Yesterday, This Week and Earlier, load more as you scroll, and refresh when you pull down.

  • Tapping a row marks it read and opens whatever it is about: the meeting, the chat, the agent, the feed card.
  • Swiping a row archives it.
  • The overflow menu has Mark all read and Clear all.

The bell carries a live unread count, capped at 99+.

A few notifications have nothing to open and only mark themselves read: someone joining an organization, an invitation being declined, and being removed from an organization.

The inbox follows the organization you have selected. Switching organization switches the feed with it, so an inbox row always belongs to the organization you are looking at.

Approval notifications are the ones worth acting on immediately; they open the request itself. See Approvals.

Push notifications

The app asks for permission the first time it has something to tell you. Tapping a push opens the screen it belongs to, the same as tapping the inbox row.

Push is not filtered by organization, so you get them from every organization you belong to. Tapping one that belongs to an organization you do not currently have selected switches you to it first, then opens the screen.

Turn them off in your phone's settings for Auron. Signing out stops them for that account.
