Reports

Long-form research reports about a record over a period, and reusable report templates.

A research report covers one record across a stretch of time, drawing on every session, signal and note attached to it. It is a different thing from a session report, which covers a single conversation.

Setting one up

The setup panel asks for the entity type, the record, and the period, either from presets or a custom range.

Then the sections. You can either have Auron propose a structure for this record and period, which suggests sections, a synthesis framing and custom instructions, or start from the default sections for that entity type and edit from there.

Three things are yours to control:

  • Which sections are included.
  • The synthesis framing, which tells the writer how to frame every section.
  • Free-form custom instructions.

Templates

A configuration you expect to use again can be saved as a template, and loaded when you set up the next report. For a report you produce monthly, this is the difference between one decision and twenty.

The report history

Everything generated is listed with the record it is about, its entity type and period, its status and its date. The list updates while a report is being planned, executed or stitched together, and settles when it is done.

A finished report opens as a formatted document, and can be shared as a PDF. Reports can be deleted from the list.

Generating a report is limited to owners and admins. The same reports and the same two-step setup are available on the phone; see Research reports on mobile.
