Identity

Three things identify the organization:

• Name, which is what people see in the switcher and in invitations.
• Slug, which appears in the address. It has to be unique, and the form checks availability as you type. Changing it changes the links people have bookmarked.
• Avatar, which is what appears next to the name in the switcher and on the phone.

Transferring ownership

Ownership can be handed to another member. An organization has one owner, so this is how a leaving owner passes the organization on rather than leaving it stranded. The previous owner stays in the organization with a different role.

Do this before anyone offboards, not after.

Deleting an organization

Deleting removes the organization and what belongs to it: agents, sessions, records, signals, reports. It is not a way to free up plan capacity temporarily. Where you want to stop an agent being used, unpublish it instead; where you want to stop a person having access, remove them in Users and teams.
